If you are interested in an opportunity to learn about a variety of topics and are over 55, you will want to join the Adult Learning Institute (ALI) at the Orchard Ridge Campus of Oakland Community College. The Adult Learning Institute is a member run organization and an affiliate of the Elderhostel Institute Network. Classes meet three days a week for two months in the Spring and in the Fall. Each class or program is different, and the instructors come from a wide variety of professions. You can pick and choose among the classes that are of interest to you, and there is no homework. Fall classes begin September 14, 2010. |
